We are proud
to announce,
that due to
a large
number of
customer
requests, we
can confirm
that
XL-DBQuery
Version 1.5
will support the
popular
accounting
package 'QuickBooks'.
This will
help to
further
strengthen
the appeal
of
XL-DBQuery
among the
existing
QuickBooks
community.
QuickBooks
users
wishing to
query and
export their
QuickBooks
data using
XL-DBQuery,
will need
ensure that
they have
the
QuickBooks
ODBC Driver
(QODBC)
installed on
their
machine.
QuickBooks
Enterprise
users will
already have
the Driver
installed.
June 2007
The next
release of
XL-DBQuery,
scheduled
for a July
release,
will include
a few new
and exciting
features and
enhancements.
Top of the
list is the
release of a
brand new
feature, the
'Query Tree
View', which
has been
designed to
enhance a
users
understanding
of their
assembled
query. As
well as the
SQL view,
the user
will be now
be able to
view their
assembled
query as a
tree view,
with
selected
tables,
fields and
criteria
clearly
displayed in
a
hierarchical
manner. This
has the
effect of
making the
query a lot
easier to
digest and
understand.
The 'Query
Tree View'
also
displays
fields that
have been
grouped and
ordered,
using
individual
images to
clearly
identify
them.
Below is a
screen shot
of the new
'Query Tree
View'
feature

In addition,
we have also
added a new
query
results
export
option that
allows you
to export
the query
results data
as a CSV
text file.
As CSV is a
widely used
and
recognised
format, the
file can
easily be
utilized by
other
application
and
databases
including
XL-DBQuery
itself. You
could for
example use
XL-DBQuery
to create
CSV files
from
different
data sources
and merge
the data
together
into one
Excel sheet.
We are also
looking at
enhancing
the existing
Excel cell
value
criteria
selection
function, so
that there
is no longer
a 25 cell
limit. This
means that
you will be
able to
select a
virtually
unlimited
number of
Excel cell
values and
include them
as part of
your query
criteria.
If you have
any
suggestions
for any new
features
that you
would like
us to
consider
adding to
XL-DBQuery,
why not
